INVESTIGATION: Sergio Marchionne Did Not Have Excuse Note for Canceling Press Conference
Fiat boss Sergio Marchionne has not yet produced an excuse note for his last minute cancellation of a press conference yesterday, say reports out of Detroit.
“I don’t know who the hell this guy thinks he is, but we have rules here. If you cancel last minute, you better have a hand written note from a parent or legal guardian, in this case Barack Obama, explaining the absence.” said Virgil Jones, of the North American International Auto Show.
There were conflicting reports of why Marchionne canceled the press conference. Some said he was shopping for sweaters. Others, that after spending a few hours on the ground in Detroit he insisted on leaving for somewhere less depressing, like the comfort of the mob-controlled garbage city of Naples, Italy.
