AOL’s Autoblog to Respond to Jalopnik’s Mission Statement by Sending Out 300 Million Autoblog 5.0 CDs

The car blog wars are in full swing. Jalopnik posted an awesomeness manifesto, then a week later posted about Conan O’Brien six times in one day. CarsRulez sacrificed a live chicken in the locker room. Powerhouse car blog Autoblog.com, owned by AOL, is not taking this lying down.

“We’ll be sending and giving away 300 million promotional CDs for Autoblog 5.0, our newest and best version ever!” said Barry Schuler, President of AOL Interactive Services Group.

Fans of Autoblog were excited, too. “I hear it comes with 500 free hours! That’s fantastic. I go over some months so this will really make a difference. Now I have time to load every page WITH the photos,” said one commenter.
